ARTIST

Born 1965 in U.S.A., grown up in Germany
Lives and works in Mellböda on the Swedish island Öland

“ Through painting, sculpture and installation, I explore how individual destinies are intertwined with social and political structures and question the individual’s responsibility in a globalized world. Common themes are flight, discrimination, oppression, the disregard of human rights and the destruction of the environment through greed for profit. Before implementing an idea, I thoroughly explore the underlying theme and choose a formal language that communicates a clear message, even to those unfamiliar with art. I believe that art should be understandable even if you do know nothing about the artist or his/her circumstances. „
