ARTWORK

In my interactive works, I use the recognition and joy that classic game forms offer to unexpectedly confront the viewer with complex questions. By stepping into a character’s role, the viewer experiences both their distress and powerlessness with a strong emotional conflict between the joy of playful competition and the severity of real fate. This emotional tension creates a lasting impact and inspires deep reflection on both the theme and one’s own attitudes and actions.

My figural sculptures often arise from the interplay between the initial idea and the inspiration from engaging with the material I select throughout the process.

Usually I work in series as I need more than just one artwork to saticfy the inspiration and interest in a specific subject. Often it is more obvious what excatly I am trying to explore if you can see the individual works in context of the serie.

Sometimes I just feel like implementing an idea, even if it doesn’t fit into a series. Of course, a series can develop from this later. Sometimes it’s the technique or the material that I want to get to know better. Other times I just want to paint without any meaning or message. I admit that to myself. Sometimes the pictures don’t work out – the others can be found here.
